The Cultivation Tech lives by the mantra “plants come first!” and follows the Cultivation Lead and Head Grower in every aspect of growing medicinal cannabis, including watering, feeding, flushing, pruning, washing, cloning, and transplanting. Attention to detail and following directions to the letter are extremely important. This is a great opportunity to learn every aspect of cannabis growing from a master grower with decades of experience.
Job Functions
Cultivation Techs are responsible for the following:
- Defoliating, transplanting, watering, mixing nutrients, cloning and cutting.
- Knowledge of growing techniques, including the growing process, light schedules and more.
- Plant pests and microbials, with good eyesight for spotting issues before they become a problem.
- Harvesting of plants, recording measurements, submitting records to the Compliance Officer.
- Following good agricultural practices and state regulatory requirements.
- Tender love and care for our cannabis plants, giving each plant the attention it deserves.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Working Conditions
We are looking to fill full-time positions. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. through 3:30 p.m. with some weekends as needed.
Physical Requirements
Must be ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move between growing tables that are 24 inches apart, and be standing for long periods during the day.

- Must live within commute distance of our facility in Vicksburg, Mississippi.

Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician maintains the life support of cultivation, ensuring all lighting, climate control, plumbing, fertigation and other are in top working shape at all times. You will work under the Maintenance Director in both routine and emergency work that comes with a large indoor cultivation operation. Maintaining a clean, safe work environment for the cultivation team is paramount. This job will have you exposed to carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, energy management, fire and life safety and security systems.
Job Functions
Maintenance Techs are responsible for the following:
- Preventative maintenance on all facility systems.
- Maintain ducting and air handling, cleaning and inspecting equipment, completing scheduled filter, battery and other changeouts.
- Repair and maintain plumbing, electrical systems, security systems, fans, lights, dehumidifiers, ducting, safety monitoring systems, fire extinguishers, and more.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment including bathrooms.
- Daily disposal of all non-cannabis trash and recyclables.
- Respond to the immediate needs of the management and cultivation team to address problems.
- Assist in construction and/or improvement of facility systems and structures.
- Keep and maintain facility cleaning and maintenance records.

Job Summary
The Security Officer is responsible for overall security at the cultivation facility and reports to the Compliance Officer. You will be responsible for the intake of all employees, visitors, contractors and other whom enter the site. In addition you will be responsible for responding to security-related issues on site and accepting shipments to the address.
Job Functions
Security Officers are responsible for the following:
- Properly vetting and signing in all personnel entering/leaving the site.
- Maintain Big River’s leading position in adhering to Mississippi’s regulatory requirements.
- Control all incoming/outgoing traffic at multiple entrances.
- Monitor surveillance equipment and safety alert systems.
- Maintaining a strict paper log of the names, positions and times personnel arrived or left the facility.
- Patrolling the facility periodically and noting any safety or security issues.
- In the event of an emergency that requires an evacuation of the building, you will be responsible for bringing the log of personnel for an accurate roll call.
- Investigate and record security breaches or incidents.
- Printing and credentialing employee, visitor and contractor badges.
- Properly intaking shipments to the facility, reviewing for damage and forwarding to the proper department.
